Why Cards?

Quilling is a skill taught in detention centers and children’s protection centers in El Salvador so some of our clients already knew how to create cards and how to teach others to make them.

Our Artisans

All of our cards are handmade by our clients who are facing homelessness or extreme poverty, who are working through recovery from substance abuse, or who have survived trafficking and sexual exploitation. 

Dignifying Work in Community

Our artisans work in a community setting to create cards in various colors and designs. They develop many of the designs. They are paid for each card they make and are able to work toward their own financial goals. They are have access to resources like therapy, job training, Bible studies, recreation, meals and more. They are working together, creating something beautiful together off the street.
